Question: Which Database Should I Use?

Answer: How about searching multiple databases at the same time? Use PowerSearchPlus!

When you need wiring diagrams for your Chevy, you can use the Mitchell 1 or the Auto Repair Reference Center. When you want to download movies or e-audiobooks you will be using MyLibraryDV and NetLibrary. But, if you wanted a variety of information on the insurance giant AIG, you might not be sure which of the many databases would be best. Rather than repeating your search over and over again in different databases or miss some important information, you can now use PowerSearchPlus which will search multiple databases simultaneously for you.

When you click on the Resources tab, you will see the link to Search Multiple Databases Simultaneously. This will take you to the PowerSearchPlus screen. After typing your terms in the search box, you will get your results in tab format. Many of these will be results from excellent Gale databases which are provided by the Idaho Commission for Library's LiLI-D project. The last tab, "More Results", will include other databases that Ada Community Library has purchased, including the encyclopedias, newspaper articles, Access Science, Novelist, Heritage Quest, and CultureGrams. Try out this great new way to search and let us know how you like it.
