Lost and Found, But Rarely Claimed

Lost and Found, "A repository in a public place, as in a school or theater, where found items are kept for reclaiming by their owners."  We all know what it it, and if we have lost our cell phones, we call every place imaginable where we may have lost it, hoping that it will have been turned in to the Lost and Found.  But if the lost item is a bookmark, a greeting card, sunglasses, coat, gloves, or other less important items, people don't always even notice that it is missing.  The Library has a Lost and Found and it is always interesting to see what kinds of things have been lost in the library.  But most items are not claimed.  At the end of the two months that we keep items, we send anything that looks useful and not personal off to the thrift stores.  We make every effort to notify people of any personal items that are left, but that is often a challenge too.  Currently we have a flash drive with Lisa's photos on it which was found November 20th.  If you are Lisa, please come to the reference desk to claim your flash drive.
