Atticus Finch, and even Scout, often use tactical communication in To Kill a Mockingbird.  Steve Wopershall, master trainer with George “Doc” “Rhino” Thompson's Verbal Judo Institute, is coming to Boise to persent a five-hour workshop as part of our Big Read. Participants will learn principles and tactics that assist in calming difficult people who may be under severe emotional or other influences, redirecting the behavior of hostile people, diffusing potentially dangerous situations, performing professionally under all conditions, and achieving a desired outcome. The Friends of the Boise Public Library are participating sponsors of this event.

Space is limited - pick up a free ticket at all Boise Public and Ada Community libraries, The Cabin or the Idaho Statesman lobby. Tickets are limited to four per person.
