Please help us help you (patron with a fine) and the hungry people in our community by participating in our “Food for Fines” food drive during National Library Week, April 11 – 17th. Please bring in cans or boxes of nonperishable food to put in our Idaho Food Bank barrels and we will waive your overdue fines up to a limit of $10. You can take part in choosing what books win the Young Reader's Choice Award for 2010! Students in grades 4-12 can vote for their favorite Young Reader's Choice nominee by April 15th at any Ada Community Library location. If you've read at least two of the nominees in any division (take a look at the list online or at the library), visit the library to submit your vote and help decide what books will receive the next Young Reader's Choice Award!

How does golf benefit the library? Believe it or not, there is a way you can help the library while enjoying a week of amazing golf action. Simply purchase weekly grounds tickets to the 2010 Albertsons Boise Open through the special tickets for charity form and 100% of the proceeds come directly to the library. We plan to use the proceeds to enhance early childhood development resources at all three locations. If you are not into golf yourself, but know of someone who is, please pass the word about this special opportunity.
