Five Little Peppers and How They Grew

Why is it a pick?

"The Five Little Peppers" are Ben, Polly, Joel, Davie, and Phronsie. After their father dies, they live alone with their mother who struggles to support the family. Despite their poverty, they are a loving family, full of spirit and adventure. I first read this book when I was in the 5th grade, and it has become a classic that I must re-visit each year.

Reading Raccoon It's finally here! Summer Reading takes place during June and July. This year's theme is all about water, and with programs and events for kids, teens and adults, you can have a splash-tacular summer with the Ada Community Libraries! Pick up reading forms at the library or print them at home. Start keeping track of your reading and earn prizes for what you already love to do!

Summer Book Sales

Friends of the Ada Community Libraries will hold their summer book sales during June and July at each of our library branches.

Victory Branch Book Sale

Friday, June 4th from 9:30am until 6:00pm
Saturday, June 5th from 9:30am until 5:00pm

after 3pm, all remaining books and media will sell for $5.00 per bag

Hidden Springs Branch Book Sale at Smart Start Preschool

Saturday, June 5th from 9:00am until 3:00pm

after 2:30pm, all remaining books and media will sell for $5.00 per bag

Star Branch Book Sale

Saturday, July 10th from 10:00am until 2:00pm

Most items, including hardcover books, music and movies, will sell for only $1.00. (Some paperbacks will sell for only 50 cents each.) Proceeds from the sales will help fund library programs and events.
