January 11-12, 2008
Friends of the Ada Community Library will hold their winter book sale Friday, January 11 and Saturday, January 12, 2008. Thousands of books and media have been collected by donation and cover subjects from archaeology and Alaska to Zambia and zoos. Romance, mystery, and fantasy, as well as a large collection of youth and young adult items will also be available. The sale will be held in the bottom floor of the library, located at the corner of Victory and Five Mile Roads in Boise.
Sale hours are Friday, 9:30 until 5:45, and Saturday, 9:30 until 4:45. Remaining books and media will sell for half price on Saturday after 3:00 P.M. Profits from the sale will benefit the library. Past proceeds have been used to expand the adult DVD collection, provide prizes for summer reading, and fund programs for all ages at the library.
Hardback and trade paperback books, as well as media, will sell for $1.00, and mass market paperbacks will sell for 50 cents. Donations for the sale are always accepted. Interested persons are also invited to become a Friend of the Library, or volunteer at the book sale. For questions, or more information on the Friends group, contact the Reference Desk at the Library, 362-5622 ext. 130.
