ADA COMMUNITY LIBRARY
BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting October 20, 2009 at the Hidden Springs Elementary School.

Board members present were Carol Mills, Julie Oberle, Jason Meyers, Steven Ricks and Anita Lochner. Staff members present were Mary DeWalt and Martha Beller.

1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER.
   Carol Mills called the meeting to order at 4:42pm
2. CONSENT AGENDA
1. Changes or additions to the agenda: None
2. The minutes of the September 15, 2009 monthly meeting were presented.
3. The Financial statements for September 2009 were presented
   Julie Oberle moved to accept the minutes and financial statements, Jason Meyers seconded, the motion carried
3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, CORRESPONDENCE AND PUBLIC COMMENT
   Mary discussed her written report
4. REPORTS FROM DEPARTMENT HEADS
   Annual reports to be presented at next month’s meeting
5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
1. Planned Community Service-Status
   The board discussed revising the MOU requirements
2. Lake Hazel Branch Status
   The lease is being reviewed by the library’s insurance carrier and attorney
3. Bylaws Review
   After a brief discussion, Jason Meyers moved to approve the bylaws with the boards’ revisions, Julie Oberle seconded, the motion carried
6. NEW BUSINESS
1. Personnel Policy Update
   The board requested information on benefits to be presented at next month’s meeting, the subject was tabled
2. Revision of Line Items in FY10 Budget
   The board briefly discussed the distribution of unappropriated funds from FY09’s carryover. Steven Ricks moved to accept the revised FY10 line item budget, Julie Oberle seconded, the motion carried
3. Other
   None
7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
   The next monthly meeting will be held at the Victory branch on November 17th, 2009 at 4:30pm. Steven Ricks moved to adjourn the meeting, Carol Mills seconded, the meeting adjourned at 6:05 pm.
