UPDATE: In light of the continued high transmission rate of the virus in Ada County, we are discontinuing indoor events. Except where noted otherwise on our events page, all events will take place outdoors on the Village Green.

Ada County is an area of high transmission of the virus. For your protection from the Delta and Omicron variants, and to prevent possibly spreading it to others, the CDC recommends that everyone wear a mask indoors in public.

We continue to encourage use of our Curbside Service (Holds Pickup and Personal Shopper) and Home Delivery:
Request curbside pickup by using this Curbside Pickup Request form and selecting your preferred pickup date and time. This form is for those items on your account which currently show a "held" status (Holds) and to request additional items to be selected by library staff (Personal Shopper). All requested items will be checked out on your account and set out for pickup. Please allow an hour for staff to complete your request. You may also place curbside requests by calling the library at 208-229-2665 during service hours.

Unable to get to the library to pick up your requested items? Ada Community Library now offers home delivery service for those unable to participate in our curbside service. To receive holds or specially requested items, please call your branch or complete this Home Delivery Request form. This service is free and available to all Ada Community Library resident cardholders. Home deliveries will be limited to once every two weeks.

Materials may be returned to any library bookdrop at any time. Alternatively, if you request another delivery after two weeks, library staff will pick up items ready to be returned with that delivery, as long as the items are left for pick up in the library bag or another labeled as library returns. We are not charging overdue fees for items.

24/7 Pick-Up Lockers
Need books? Need delivery? No problem! Just place materials on hold through the library catalog and select one of the locker pickup locations listed below. Material pick-up is quick and easy. After you receive your notification, you have three days to access your locker by scanning the QR code we send you or entering the code on the locker keypad. A drop box is located next to the lockers for convenient returns.

To pick up from the Hidden Springs lockers located in the mailroom, choose "Ada Hidden Springs 24-7 locker" as your pickup location. To use the Avimor lockers near the front entrance of the Avimor Community Center, choose "Ada Avimor 24-7" as your pickup location.

Computer access is once again available during all open hours without an appointment.

Our staff is available to assist you over the phone to guide you in using our online resources, troubleshoot any problems with those resources or with your account and research answers to questions you might have.

We urge you to stay home and use our digital services, which are always available. Download ebooks, eaudiobooks and magazines; stream movies and music; anduse our online resources from the comfort of home with your library card. Take advantage of the new TumbleBooks ebook and animated book collections listed here for K - 6, no library card needed.
