For everyone stuck at home, the good news is that our digital services are always available. Download ebooks, eaudiobooks and magazines; stream movies and music; and use our online resources from the comfort of home with your library card. For help using any of these services, email us at askit@adalib.org.

In addition to the resources above, some additional services have been made available to help you pass the time at home. Below are links to increased collections of movies, picture books, games, ebooks, and audiobooks in a variety of genres and for all ages. Create a free Kanopy account with your library card number and watch unlimited films and kids' videos. Or access TumbleBooks with the links below, no library card needed.


Kanopy: Watch over 30,000 documentaries, classic and indie films. Enter your library card and pin and start watching!

Kanopy Kids: Once logged into the Kanopy website, click "Go to Kanopy Kids" in the upper right-hand corner. Enjoy unlimited viewing of kids' TV series, movies, story times, science and math topics, language learning, history and more!


TumbleBooks made its family of online libraries available for free to all public libraries through August 31 and it was so popular, we decided to purchase a subscription to keep some of these libraries available to you! TumbleBooks’ databases are easy to use and feature unlimited access from home! You can read as many books as you want, when you want, and on any device. There are no check-outs, holds, or bulky downloads. Books are available instantly.

TumbleBook Library is a collection of animated talking picture books, read-alongs, ebooks, quizzes, lesson plans, and educational games for grades K - 6.

Tumble Math is a collection of animated books to spark a love of numbers for grades K - 6.

Home Learning Resources:

Access digital schoolbooks, interactive online lessons, live tutoring and more to supplement your home classroom. Some require your Ada Community Library card or the creation of a member account, while others require no login, but all are free of charge.

Tutor.com: Your library card gives you access to Tutor.com's live one-to-one help sessions from 12 pm to 12 am every day, as well as 24/7 access to their Skills Center of resources geared toward study, test prep and career-building. Create your free account and get started!

Khan Academy is a free resource for students, teachers and parents, offering lessons in math, science and humanities from kindergarten through the early years of college. Students can use exercises, quizzes, and instructional videos to learn and master skills. They will get immediate feedback and encouragement. Khan Academy is having daily (weekdays) 1 pm live streams on Facebook and YouTube for students, parents, and teachers navigating school closures. They also offer an app recommended for ages 2-7.

Kanopy is allowing unlimited streaming of their video library, including The Great Courses, a series of hundreds of expertly-produced college-level video courses on topics like history, humanities and sciences, hobbies, healthy lifestyles and essential skills. All you need is your Ada Community Library card.

The Idaho STEM Action Center, in response to the current environment of students, parents, and teachers working and studying from home is launching STEM@Home – a one stop-shop for STEM-tastic activities, experiments, and other STEM-related resources! These FREE resources will help ensure our STEM enthusiasts stay engaged during school closures, and that educators have the online learning tools they need to explore STEM horizons in new ways.
