You may put a hold on an item that is checked out or otherwise unavailable for current checkout. You may fill out a hold request form while at the library or you may call the library circulation desk to request an item over the phone.
You may also request a hold via the internet by clicking on the catalog link [1]. To use this option for placing a hold: Search for your item in the catalog. Once you've selected it, click the Place Hold button to the right of the title information. Enter your library card and PIN ( usually the last four digits of your home phone number) and click Submit Barcode.
The window then will display your personal information. If the information is correct click Continue, otherwise click the button above that.
Choose your pickup location. Click on the arrow next to Ada Community Library to view the locations. Once you've chosen the most convenient location for you, click "Finish".
When the item becomes available for you to pick up, the library will notify you by phone or email and you will have seven days from the arrival of the item to pick it up. Up to five items may be requested.
