Troubleshooting Access to Research Databases
- Users must have a valid library card (not expired) when accessing research databases remotely.
- The “location” library configured in their library borrower record must be Ada Community Library, Star Branch Library, Lake Hazel Branch Library or Hidden Springs Branch Library.
- If the library is another institution, the user will need to use that library’s website to access that library’s subscription databases.
- "Cookies" must be "enabled" in the Internet browser software.
- Clear the cache, cookies, temporary internet files, history, etc. in every browser installed on the computer (these might include Internet Explorer, Firefox, AOL, MSN, etc.), even if those other browsers are not being used. Also, in order to prevent accessing an expired session, please make sure the browser has the following setting:
- For Internet Explorer go to: Tools \ Options \ General Tab -- Click settings button and then "Every Visit to the Page".
