The book The Child Called “It” is about a little boy names David. Dave, the author, describes the story of his childhood. He starts getting abused by his mother when his is only about five. This is based on a true story. In the book, his teachers are always asking him why he has bruises all over his body and his mother tells him to come up with different excuses so that his mom will not get in trouble. Yes, this is an awesome book. I would recommend it to anyone. I think it would be better for adults and teens to read. It was very sad knowing that this all happened to him by his mother! It came to be the worst child abuse case ever in the state of California! The mother should have been placed in prison, but never was. She ended up dying in her own home without going to jail or prison.
