Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Full Review
The most anticipated book of 2007, J.K Rowling's final adaption to the Harry Potter series is released. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. While many say that it was the best of the series, some say differently. The book is continued from Dumbledore's death in the last book (Half-Blood Prince) and it is up to Harry to find and destroy the remaining 'Horcruxes'. In the book, Harry and Ginny become (more of) an item, and Ron and Hermione become one casually. Snape is appointed headmaster of Hogwarts, and Voldemort is impacted (once again) the wizarding and muggle world. While most people read this book 2 years ago and loved it, others (like me) disagree. Overall the book was fine the ending just fell a bit flat for me. I'm not going to give away more then I already have, but I am going to say that I preferred Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, and Half-Blood Prince much more. Not that the final book was bad, it was really enjoyable to read. Just a small warning, the ending does seem a bit too...."perfect" for me. But hey, what do I know?
