When you say Skulduggery it sounds like that person is the bad guy. Well he is the good guy. He is also a friend to an author that is an uncle. When Stephanie goes to her uncle's funeral, she later that day inherits her uncle's mansion. While she is looking around the mansion it starts to rain so her mom calls a tow truck. The only problem is that the tow truck can only carry one person. So Stephanie decides to spend the night at her new mansion. Everything is going good until someone breaks in and demands "the key". Of course, Stephanie doesn't know about a key. Then, Skulduggery bashes down the door and starts beating up the intruder even more surprising he starts shooting fire at him. Once the fight was over Skulduggery explains to Stephanie that he is a living skeleton and he can do four types of magic. There is fire, water, earth, and air. After that night Stephanie get sucked into a world of magic and she has to stop this guy named Serpine who wants this magical item called the scepter which is a super strong item and if he gets it then the world is doomed.
