Every Child Ready to Read Family Workshops is a program that involves young children (ages birth to 6) and their parents/caregivers in learning the early literacy skills that help to prepare children for reading success in school.
During the three weekly shared story times, different early literacy skills will be highlighted during a 45-minute story time. Parents will
· Have a chance to practice the skills with their child.
· Take home a book to keep and read with their child.
· Learn fun interactive activities and practical tips to use at home.
· Hear about what schools expect from children entering kindergarten.
By the end of the three-week session, each family will have received great books, a book bag, other story time materials, and great information to help prepare their children for school!
