The Library is currently CLOSED

Latest update: Thursday, March 26.

All Ada Community Library locations are currently closed to the public. Governor Little has issued a statewide stay-home order through at least mid-April. We are working to make alternative services available to you during this closure:

Due dates and holds:
Our bookdrops and curbside service are closed until further notice. Due dates and holds remain extended until June 1st, so hold onto your items until area libraries reopen.

Phone services:
Our staff is now available to assist you over the phone Tuesday through Thursday, 11 am to 6 pm at our Victory Branch number, 208-362-0181. We will be here to guide you in using our online resources, to troubleshoot any problems with those resources or with your account and to research answers to questions you might have.

Online services:
We urge you to stay home and use our digital services, which are always available. Download ebooks, eaudiobooks and magazines; stream movies and music; and use our online resources from the comfort of home with your library card. Newly available: Take advantage of the huge TumbleBooks ebook collection listed here, spanning all genres and all ages, which TumbleBooks has made available during this time, no library card needed. For help using any of these services, email us at

Facebook live:
In this time of social distancing, please join us on our Facebook page, where we will be posting videos, sharing links to sources of fun and entertainment, and going live to answer your questions and keep everyone up-to-date and connected with us and with each other.

On the topic of COVID-19, the Library will continue to work with Central District Health Department and other local officials and will take additional steps as needed, so continue to check our website or follow us on Facebook for updates. At this time we continue to have the following measures in place:

  • We have cancelled events indefinitely.
  • We have suspended volunteer and Friends activities.
  • We have suspended Interlibrary Loan services.
  • We are not currently accepting donated items.
