MONTHLY MEETING
ANNUAL PUBLIC HEARING

The Ada Community Library Board of Trustees held its monthly board meeting on August 29, 2017 at the Lake Hazel branch. Board members present were Carol Mills, Julie Oberle, Kevin MacMaster. Staff members present were Mary DeWalt, Martha Beller and Alex Hartman

  1. MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS CALLED TO ORDER
    Carol Mills called the meeting to order at 5:32 pm
  2. CONSENT AGENDA
    1. Changes or additions to the agenda
    2. The minutes of the July monthly meeting were presented
    3. The Financial statements for July were presented JO moved to accept the consent agenda, CM seconded, the motion carried
  3. DIRECTOR’S REPORT, PUBLIC WRITTEN CORRESPONDENCE
    The board briefly discussed the report
  4. QUARTERLY REPORTS
    None
  5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
    1. FY18 Budget preliminary presentation and discussion
      The board was presented with the proposed FY18 budget
  6. NEW BUSINESS
    1. FY17 Audit proposal
      The board discussed the audit proposal, KM moved to accept the proposal, JO seconded, the motion carried
    2. Inter Library loan policy revision, including increase in items not picked up fee from $2.50 to $3.25
      The board discussed the proposed revision, excluding the fee increase at this time, after making some additional changes, CM moved to accept the revision as amended, JO seconded, the motion carried
  7. DATE OF NEXT MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT
    The next monthly meeting will be held at the VBL Branch on September 19, 2017 at 4:15pm. CM moved to adjourn the meeting, KM seconded, the meeting adjourned at 6:34pm
  8. Budget Hearing for the Proposed FY2018 Budget is called to order.
    Carol Mills called the meeting to order at 7:00pm
    The board discussed the proposed FY2018 Budget. JO Moved to approve the budget, KM seconded, the motion carried
    KM Moved to adjourn the meeting, JO seconded, the meeting was adjourned at 7:02pm
