Primary Responsibilities -
Under direction of the Facilities Coordinator, keeps building and associated facility equipment in clean and operating condition.

Essential Job Functions – fundamental position duties

  • Performs preventative maintenance of interior and inspection and maintenance of the exterior of premises including light debris removal and clearing of snow and ice from entryways as needed
  • Performs regular maintenance tasks including light bulb replacement, minor plumbing, painting, and other typical duties
  • Assembles furniture, replaces air conditioner filters, etc.
  • Checks inventory of janitorial supplies and alerts manager of need
  • Scheduled hours may be flexible. Odd hours may be required in case of emergencies and off-hour projects

Minimum Qualifications – Experience, education and special skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some knowledge of construction trade work e.g. carpentry, mechanical, plumbing
  • Some knowledge of construction and maintenance safety procedures
  • Satisfactory ability to use hand and power tools; to operate light, medium and heavy equipment
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
