As of May 19, 2021 the Library moved to follow protocol that is in accordance with CDC, CDH, and Idaho guidelines.
As a public entity, Ada Community Library is adhering to the Idaho Rebounds Guidelines (protocols are listed below).
We are doing our best to provide access to services to all members of our community during this time. Limiting the number of patrons in the building as per Rebounds guidelines necessarily requires limiting the amount of time in the building. Our procedures reflect that.
As the Guidelines are amended, we will alter our procedures accordingly to conform to current protocols. We ask for your patience as we work to ensure that staff and members of our community remain healthy and help the community to positively progress through the Rebound stages.

Rebound Plan
In consideration for a reopening of our library as per the Governor's directive, we are looking at a phased reopening. It will generally coincide with the Governor’s four-stage approach including the caveat that should environmental and Library indicators determine so, we may hold steady or go forward or backward; each stage will be noted on our website and via social media. Sufficient PPE and sanitization supplies are vital to offering services at any stage.
Three core services will be provided under limited conditions, easing over time with positive environmental indicators. 1) Internet access is a critical resource for the community particularly in times of economic distress. Public computers will be available on a limited, generally self serve, basis. 2) Access to library materials for education and entertainment will be provided curbside throughout the stages. 3) Reference and readers advisory available via phone and online chat.
As the health and safety for our staff and patrons is our priority, we will be bringing the public back to our Libraries slowly with the following in mind:
1. Limited exposure to others with proper social distancing
2. Heightened cleaning/hygiene tasks
